What is the Legal Reference Series?
The Legal Reference Series is your one-stop source for publications that answer your state and federal labor law and human resources questions, alleviate confusion, and save you time and money, so you can get back to business.
The first publication in the Legal Reference Series was published by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce in 1994 as a service to the South Carolina business community. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the series and customer requests, it was expanded to include North Carolina in 1998.
Here at the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce we strongly believe that work-related education is one of the best strategies for improving your business. In other words, the more you and your employees know, the more profitable your company can be.
As a result, we have created an extensive library of resource materials covering business topics from human resources to OSHA standards. Originating from the growing need in the work force, each publication has been written by attorneys who practice employment and labor law regularly within the state covered by the publication. This ensures that you have the most accurate information possible for your specific area. Each book is organized and written in layman's terms so they are easy to understand. Comprehensive indexes enable you to get immediate answers to your work-related questions.
